Turmeric Lemonade Tea
Serves 4 | Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: none
Who says you have to wait for the summer for a lemonade. Make it hot or chilled.

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons fresh turmeric, micro planned (no need to peel)
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, micro planned (no need to peel)
- Peel of one lemon
- 4 cups filtered water
- 2 tablespoons raw honey
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- Add ins: sliced cucumber, mint, thyme or basil

Chef Tips
If you can’t find fresh turmeric use about 2 teaspoons of really fresh dried. I find the fresh turmeric to have less pungency.

Preparation
Step 1
Combine the turmeric, ginger, lemon peel and water in a pot. Bring to a simmer. Turn off the heat and let steep like a tea for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Strain the infused liquid stir in the honey until dissolved. Add in the lemon and orange juice. Serve warm or chilled.
