Steamed Spinach + Silken Tofu
Serves 4 | Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 5 minutes
Great eaten with some scrambled eggs or the Chinese Cold Chicken.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce/ or tamari
- 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon lime jucie
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 bunches spinach
- 1 pack silken tofu
- Toasted sesame seeds
- 1 handful bonito
Chef Tips
You can substitute Swiss chard, bok choy or any of your favorite greens.
Preparation
Step 1
Set up a pot of water with a steamer on top. Meanwhile, mix together the soy, vinegar, lime juice and sesame oil.
Bring the water to a boil and place one bunch of spinach in the steamer; cook for 5 minutes or just until wilted. If you do not have a steamer add about 2-3 inches of water in a pot and bring to a boil. Add the spinach cook for 5 minutes or just until wilted. Take remove and drain.
Step 2
Place spinach in a bowl, scoop some tofu and place all over. Drizzle on the soy dressing and sprinkle with the sesame seed and bonito.
