Honey - Garlic Chicken Wings

Serves 6 | Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 30 minutes

Wings have to be one of my families favorite part of the bird. They’re the most delicious part, inexpensive and so much fun!

Ingredients

  •  2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 large cloves garlic, micro planned
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari)
  • Freshly ground black pepper (or Urfa chili if you happen to have some
  • Zest of one lemon
  • 1/2 bunch of chopped cilantro
  • Serve with: Sautéed Collard Greens + Bacon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 500F. Season wings with salt to taste and the olive oil. Place in a single layer on a large baking tray lined with parchment. Roast until nice and golden brown. About 25-30 minutes.

Step 2

While the wings are roasting combine the honey, garlic, soy sauce and pepper in a small sauce pot. Bring to a simmer and cook until slightly thickened; about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Start sautéing the collard greens. See Sautéed Collard Greens + Bacon in your menu.

Step 4

Remove the wings from the oven and place into a large bowl. Pour off some of the juice into a separate bowl and reserve for the collard greens (if using). Pour the honey mixture over the wings, along with th
