Avocado Chickpea Hummus
Serves 4-6 | Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: none
A lovely snack to keep on hand; very versatile. Same concept as regular hummus just a little more rich with avocado and unique with basil. Serve with some crackers or crusty bread and some nice veg. In m humble opinion this would go well with some steamed fish as well.
Ingredients
- 1, 15oz can chickpeas
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1 handful basil
- About 250ml filtered water
- Juice of half a lemon
- 1 tablespoon tahini (or cashew butter)
- 2 small cloves garlic (or one large)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt to taste
- Pinch oregano
- Pinch chili flakes
Chef Tips
Consume with in 4-5 days of preparing.

Place all contents in a food processor (or blender) and blend until smooth.
